Two Dollar Pistol
Far left is Derek Steele formerly of "Kaiser Jet", and far right is Craig Wallace formerly of "Free Ride".
Jerry Dunsmore is on Bass Guitar, and Chris Thompson is on Drums.
I had worked with Derek (far left) at Manitoba Hydro, in the Winnipeg GIS Group.
Derek has moved twice in the last two years, and is now at Hydro's Downtown Offices.
Considering it was in a Community Centre Hall ... The band was awesome.
Chris Thompson is one incredible drummer.
Craig and Derek share lead singing duties, as well a background vocals for each other.
Derek on keyboards ???
During the first short break, I said to Derek, "I didn't know you played keyboards."
His reply was, "I Don't !!!"
Spotlights, Lasers and Smoke ... Heavy on the SMOKE !
I'm sure they can't even see each other.
Beginning of the third set, brought up this young lady,
Julie Moffat,
who is from the Anola Area.
Two Dollar Pistol plays an excellent mix of Rock, Country, Country/Rock,
and British Invasion.
The last song of the third and final set, and Derek is singing lead, but not playing ....
OOPS !!! ... Derek is GONE !!!
Derek had left the stage area, while the band carried on,
to dance with his girlfriend.
I missed the shot and Derek had just enough time to return
for this image, and went back to finish the song.
We have had many opportunities to go see Two Dollar Pistol,
with invitations from Derek (in person) and Craig, by emails,
and on facebook, but there was always something else going on.
I'm glad we finally got to see them.
I highly recommend that you go see Two Dollar Pistol,
the first chance you get.
You won't be disappointed.
